Backpack, camp 2 sp 1 kg A “camp pack” is a small, simple canvas backpack. It has a volume of 20 liters and is small and light enough that it doesn’t impact movement.
Backpack, trail 4 sp 2 kg A “trail pack” is a larger canvas backpack.It has an internal volume of 40 liters, but it is awkward to fight with one on you back.
Backpack, frame 8 sp 4 kg A “frame pack” is very large backpack with a wooden frame and leather reinforcements. It has an internal volume of 80 liters. Attempting to fight, dodge and run with a frame backpack on is very difficult.
Bedroll 4 sp 2 kg A simple bedroll, consisting of an outer leather cover, a thick padded mat, a blanket and binding straps.

Caltrop 0.5 sp 0.1 kg A small four spiked metal device shaped in such a way that no matter how it sits on the ground, one spike is always pointing up. Quite often barbed. Designed to puncture a soldier’s foot or horse’s sole. Used in large batches as an area denial weapon.
Case 1 sp 0.2 kg A small wooden case for a map or scroll. Water tight if sealed with wax.
Cask 2 sp 0.5 kg A small water tight wooden cask with cork stopper. One liter capacity.
Chalk 0.1 sp 0.25 kg One large piece of natural chalk.
Dry Rations 1 sp 0.25 kg Long-lasting rations consisting of hard biscuits and dried, salted meat. One day’s worth for one person. Assuming they are kept dry, these rations will stay edible for six months. If they get wet, they will become rancid and inedible within 48 hours. Dry rations are dry, bland and not very tasty, but they will fill your stomach.
Fire Bomb 15 sp 3 kg A round ceramic ball filled with dragon fire (see alchemy) and sealed with a wax cork. When thrown it bursts (on a roll of 1-16 on a d20), self ignites and burns fiercely.

Grappling hook 5 sp 2 kg A four pronged hook made of iron with an eyehole for a rope. Used for hooking battlements or wall tops and climbing with a rope.
Grappling hook, padded 10 sp 2.5 kg This is a standard four pronged grapling hook which is wrapped in padding and finely stitched soft leather. It produces much less sound when it strikes due to the padding.
Healing Kit, Basic 5 sp 1 kg A basic kit that contains an assortment of bandages and leather strips, a dozen bone needles, a spool of thread and a small knife.The kit comes in a leather belt pouch.
Healing Kit, Advanced 50 sp 5 kg A much more advanced medical kit that contains everything in the basic kit, but also contains a bone saw, staples, files, a lance, pliers, pincers, tweezers, hooks, a razor sharp scalpel, shears and an arrow remover. The kit comes in a leather satchel.
Horse Care Kit 12 sp 2 kg A wooden box that includes a curry comb, brush, hoof pick, sweat scraper and bar of saddle soap.
Lockpick Set 20 sp 0.3 kg A tool set consisting of various picks, hooks, probes, files, etc. A dozen small metal tools in all and a roll up leather carrying case.

Pillow, Travel 2 sp 0.4 kg A small round pillow that is cloth on one side, thick leather on the other and filled with rags. The leather side is designed to endure repeated contact with rough ground.
Piton 1 sp 0.1 kg An iron spike with a metal loop that can be hammered into stone to aid in climbing.
Pole 1 sp 10 kg A simple 3 meter wooden pole. 10cm diameter. Solid wall. Straight and well balanced.

5mm diameter hemp rope. Supports 180 kg. Each 5 meters of length costs 5 copper pieces and weighs 0.1 kg. Rope is generally inferior to chain. It can be cut. It will burn. It chafes and can be gradually worn away through excessive abrasion. It is, however, much lighter and cheaper than chain.

Torch, common 1 sp/3 .25 kg A wooden stave with oil soaked rags tightly wrapped around it and bound in waxed twine. This torch will burn for roughly 30 minutes and generates smoke. One silver piece buys three of them.
Torch, water proof 3 sp 0.25 kg A wooden stave with oil soaked rags tightly wrapped around it and bound in waxed twine. The oil is mixed with an alchemical concoction that includes quicklime and sulfur. This torch will burn fiercely for 15 minutes and it will not extinguish, even if submerged in water. This torch generates a lot of smoke.
